The Secret to Authentic Tzatziki

The best yogurt tzatziki starts with thick, creamy yogurt that won’t turn watery. Our non-homogenized Whole Milk Plain Yogurt, made with low-temperature vat pasteurization, provides a great base. The rich, tangy flavor and thick consistency make your tzatziki authentically Greek—no straining required.

Why Kalona SuperNatural Makes Better Yogurt Tzatziki

Our whole milk yogurt comes from small family farms practicing regenerative farming. The cows are pasture-grazed and grass-fed, producing milk that’s processed as minimally as possible. The non-homogenized yogurt creates a creamier mouthfeel, while low-temperature vat pasteurization preserves more of the natural probiotics and enzymes.

Make-Ahead Tips

Your yogurt tzatziki actually improves with time. Make it up to 2 days ahead and store it, covered, in the refrigerator. The flavors will deepen and develop, creating an even more delicious sauce. Just give it a quick stir before serving, as some separation is natural.

Whether you’re hosting a summer cookout or looking for an easy weeknight dinner, this combination of yogurt-marinated chicken and homemade yogurt tzatziki delivers impressive results with simple ingredients. The creamy, garlicky sauce is so good, you might find yourself making extra chicken just to have an excuse to eat more!
