Kalona SuperNatural™ is based in Kalona, Iowa, a small farming community in the heartland of America. We work with small, sustainable family farms to provide delicious, certified organic buttermilk from pasture-grazed cows. The bottled milk products offered by Kalona SuperNatural™ contain fresh, locally-sourced milk from Iowa Amish and Mennonite farms.
Six days a week, milk from these local farms arrives at our creamery and is gently processed so we can deliver your milk in the most natural state possible. We choose to use a lower-temp pasteurization process. We also do not homogenize our milk–leaving a delicious cream top for you to enjoy.

This buttermilk makes our almond flour pancakes even richer and fluffier. Delicious by itself, too.

Brought my childhood memories ❤️
I grew up on the farm in Europe and for some reason buttermilk will always be one of my sweet childhood memories. My grandma home made buttermilk was the best.
Kalona buttermilk tastes like my grandma’s. It always bring smile to my face and memories of my sweet grandma. I love this buttermilk so much that I drink the whole bottle at once.

This is the secret ingredient in my mile high biscuits. Also has great shelf life for my homemade salad dressings and veggie dips.

This is the only buttermilk I will buy for my family. Love all of their products we’ve tried.

I needed Buttermilk to make my german Quark for Mothers and Grandmothers Cheesecake. Gave Kalona a try and then the regular store brand. No comparison, you get what you pay for. Kalona makes a much sweeter and smoother quark almost like german cearm quark. Perfect for cheesecake and either mixing with fruit for desserts or herbs and chives to spread on bakery bread. No need to by yogurt or greek yogurt. I have been using Kalona milk and cream for some time before learning how to make the quark with the buttermilk.
