- 8 oz dry macaroni elbows
- 1 cup Kalona SuperNatural Whole Milk Cottage Cheese
- ⅓ cup Kalona SuperNatural Whole Milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese- shredded
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ⅛ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoon pasta water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to the package directions, drain and set aside. *Remember to reserve 2 tablespoon of pasta water for later.
2. To a blender, add cottage cheese, milk, cheese, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and onion powder and blend until smooth.
3. In a small dish, whisk together reserved pasta water and cornstarch.
4. Add cheese sauce to a small pan over medium heat until it reaches a simmer. Add cornstarch + water mixture to the sauce, and stir. Cook until the sauce begins to thicken- about 5 minutes- stirring continuously. Stir in additional cheese if needed!Add pasta directly to the sauce, stir and enjoy!
