Kalona SuperNatural™ is based in Kalona, Iowa, a small farming community in the heartland of America. We work with small, sustainable family farms to provide delicious, certified organic reduced fat 2% milk from pasture-grazed cows. The bottled milk products offered by Kalona SuperNatural™ contain fresh, locally-sourced milk from Iowa Amish and Mennonite farms.
Six days a week, milk from these local farms arrives at our creamery and is gently processed so we can deliver your milk in the most natural state possible. We choose to use a lower-temp pasteurization process. We also do not homogenize our milk–leaving a delicious cream top for you to enjoy.
Rock –
This is one of the best dairy on the market. Organic, grass fed and comes from small farms. Outrageously fresh and tasty, nutritious, LOVE the cream top – plus the fact that it is not ultra high temp pasteurized. I go though one big bottle every week.
Plus one of life’s small pleasures i get scooping the cream off the top and shaking the bottle to dissolve the cream. So glad I discovered this and the whole milk option.

The milk tastes great. I like that it is not homogenized or ultra high temp pasteurized. Also great that it is grass fed and doesn’t hurt that it comes from small family farms. I do scoop the cream off the top to use for other things and wish it was a little easier to remove.

I became reacquainted with Kalona super natural 2% milk after a dairy farmer told me that buying organic, but not pasture raised milk was “a waste of money”. I also like that Kalona’s is one of a few non-homogenized and low-temperature processed brands available. I had originally bought Kalona brand (whole milk) when my now 14-year old grand-daughter was a toddler and wanted the best milk available for her growing body. Now I want it for my aging body! The taste is wonderful.
As my husband and I drove to Des Moines to visit my son and daughter-in-law I was so excited to see an exit for the town of Kalona and the Kalona store. Next time I hope we can visit.
