I needed Buttermilk to make my german Quark for Mothers and Grandmothers Cheesecake. Gave Kalona a try and then the regular store brand. No comparison, you get what you pay for. Kalona makes a much sweeter and smoother quark almost like german cearm quark. Perfect for cheesecake and either mixing with fruit for desserts or herbs and chives to spread on bakery bread.
