One Pot Chicken Sausage and Orzo

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil of your choice
  • 5 cooked chicken sausage links- sliced
  • 2 garlic gloves- sliced
  • 1 shallot- chopped
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • Bag of orzo
  • 4 cups broth of your choice
  • 1/2 cup Kalona SuperNatural Organic Whipping Cream
  • Handfull frozen green beans (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan
  • Juice from 1/2 of a lemon
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil and brown sausages and remove from skillet
  2. Saute’ shallot, garlic, and cherry tomatoes
  3. Once cooked down, mash tomatoes with potato masher
  4. Pour orzo in and toast for 2-3 minutes
  5. Add broth- bring to a boil- then simmer until orzo is tender and cooked
  6. Add Kalona SuperNatural Organic Whipping Cream and green beans and sausage back to pan
  7. Add parmesan to top and cover to help melt
  8. Remove lid and add lemon juice
  9. ENJOY!!

How about a quick and easy one pot dish for dinner tonight? This creamy chicken sausage and orzo is the perfect dish when you’re short on time and don’t want a big mess to clean up!
