Iowa-Made, Award Winning Butter

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Kalona SuperNatural Organic Butter, unsalted and lightly salted, have placed in the 2018 Iowa State Fair Iowa Quality Dairy Products Showcase. This is our third year participating and we’ve snagged 1st and 2nd place each year! This year, Kalona SuperNatural unsalted butter took 1st place and our lightly salted butter took 2nd.

What is the Iowa Quality Dairy Products Showcase?

The Iowa Quality Dairy Products Showcase is a contest at the Iowa State Fair that recognizes Iowa-made dairy products. A panel of dairy experts rate the products based on appearance, aroma, taste, flavor and packaging. The Iowa Quality Dairy contest has five categories: butter, cultured dairy products, goat and/or sheep cheese, cow cheese and cheese curds. Learn more.
