This Buttermilk Waffle recipe was sent to us from a consumer for our Recipe Round-Up held in early 2015. Top these with a bit of Kalona SuperNatural Yogurt and some fresh berries for a delightful breakfast! These can also be frozen for fast and easy breakfasts.
Buttermilk Waffle Ingredients

2 C. white whole wheat flour

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1-1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder

1/2 tsp. sea salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 C. maple syrup

2 eggs

1-3/4 C. Kalona SuperNatural Reduced Fat 2% Cultured Buttermilk

6 Tbs. melted coconut oil
Buttermilk Waffle Directions
Mix all ingredients in the order above. Let the batter rest for a bit, then use a waffle iron to make the waffles. If you’re going to freeze these, let the waffles cool, put them in a gallon-sized freezer bag, and place in the freezer!
When you’re ready to eat a frozen waffle, simply put it in a toaster and heat until warmed!
