What does ‘The Message in our Bottle’ really mean?
As a team here at Kalona SuperNatural, we discussed what our product means to us and our customers. We realized that with every bottle, we are sending a message to our customers about what our company values. Therefore, we wanted to create a video showcasing that message.
The Message in our Bottle (written out)
As we enter 2025, we at Kalona SuperNatural find ourselves reflecting on the meaning of our dairy and the values that guide us.
We are so proud of our small family farmers who are committed to farming organically in a way that regenerates the land. Our farms are free from pesticides, allowing our cows to spend their days grazing on rich pastures and enjoying nature.
With smaller herds, our farmers can focus on each and every cow, prioritizing their health and well-being. This ensures that each cow receives the care and attention it deserves.
We also believe in keeping things as natural as possible. That’s why we use low-temp VAT pasteurization and don’t homogenize our products. It’s our way to stay true to our commitment to quality.
We appreciate your support of our small family farms and pledge to continue producing organic dairy products that you can trust.
How to get involved?
We want to hear from YOU! What part of the Kalona SuperNatural message stands out to you? Additionally, what values do you share with us? What is your favorite product, and what does it say about you? Finally, which product is your favorite, and what does it say about you?

I’ve been able to purchase the half gallons of your chocolate milk for quite a while now at the dekalb farmer’s market in Atlanta. However, I can no longer find them so I’ve been buying the quarts and where I live now the quarts are over six dollars. That price is way too much for someone like me who has Kalona chocolate milk running through my veins. What’s going on with the half gallon jugs?
Hi Denise! Unfortunately, that size of our Organic Whole Chocolate Milk has been discontinued but we will continue to offer it in the 32oz & 16oz bottles. Thanks for your love of our organic chocolate milk!
Hello! I was so happy to find your delicious Buttermilk. It truly is the best out there these days. I grew up on drinking buttermilk. I live in Wisconsin and years ago when I was a kid buttermilk would be on menus in restaurants as a beverage choice. Now years later people mostly cook with it. As for me I CRAVE a good buttermilk to drink. I can drink a whole quart in one sitting if I don’t stop myself! It was very hard finding any that were made well and tasted good. Most of them I wouldn’t even want to bake with. Your buttermilk is so clean and creamy. I’ve shared it with my family who live in other states so they can taste the deliciousness! I first found it at Fresh Thyme and then they discontinued it. I tried for another store to get it and it never happened. Then recently we got a HY-Vee store in town and I saw they had some Kalona products. After some coaxing on my part with the manager of the dept. and finally having to email your company they now carry it. I am so happy. I make special trips to that store just to get your buttermilk. I will be trying other products in the future from you as well. Thanks a bunch for all your hard work and great products.
I love the chocolate milk it is my favorite and made me switch to only buying that brand. Also, the chip dip is great and affordable for me so glad I can still have both these things with a healthier diet change!
How do we request your milk be delivered to our supermarket?
Thanks for asking! The best way to get products into your local supermarket is to talk to the dairy manager. Retailers want to hear from customers when deciding what products they carry.
What store and products are you interested in? I am happy to pass along the information to our sales team!
Do you sell heavy whipping cream
Yes! We do sell Organic Whipping Cream. To be considered heavy whipping cream the fat percentage must be above 36%. We aim for 33% with our Organic Whipping Cream. Hope this helps and let us know if you try it!
I love your cream. It is delectable and I can feel love in every pour! I appreciate the low temp pasteurization and the peace of mind knowing the quality of what I am giving my family. Last night I used it to make fresh cinnamon whipped cream for baked apples. It was the perfect top for a cozy, healthy snack!
I am a self-professed dairy SNOB! It started with my first job after college on a cattle ranch near Telluride, CO. I had to milk the cow – Star – our only milk cow. The rest of the cows were for meat. Star’s milk was over the top the best I’d ever had. After leaving the ranch I’ve had a hard time finding the best again. With the popularity of organic in this century it got better. Then, several years ago I stumbled upon Kalona! OMGosh! So close to Star’s milk! Living in a tiny town in Western Colorado it was hard to get though. Now we just stock up because your cream lasts so much longer than the competition. We make a special trip to Natural Grocers to get our Kalona. I often feel guilty (ok – not really) when we buy the whole shelf.
Best dairy ever! I love that you use regenerative farming to nourish the cows, the earth and us! I’m also thrilled that you minimally pasturize and do not homogenize or use additives. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found Kalona products in the grocery store. I was starting to think I would need to find a farm.
The plain yogurt is my fave. I strain it to spreading consistency, drizzle of honey and toasted pecans…like starting my day with dessert😋
The whole milk and heavy cream make sinfully rich hot chocolate.
I’m hoping you will have cheese and butter available some day.
I was thinking I’d have to START a farm to find such great products near me!
Glad you exist!
Is Greek yogurt in the future?
Maybe! We dappled in Greek Yogurt in the past…maybe we’ll have to bring it back 🤔
