  5. Remove with tongs and pat dry.

Tips and Tricks

Can I use brown eggs?

Yes! The end color may vary, though brown eggs can result in a richer tone. (1)

Get Creative!

Have your kids draw on eggs with a wax crayon or add tape before dying. Gently remove the tape after dying.

Experiment for Brighter Colors

Leaving the eggs in the dye longer can result in a brighter color. However, try dipping them multiple times. (2) This will create layers of dye that will also create a vibrant end result.

Stay Clean

Though these egg dyes are safe, they will stain clothing and skin. We recommend wearing old clothes and laying a bed of newspaper down for easy clean-up.
Keep even cleaner by using tongues to remove the eggs from the dyes.

Just in time for Easter! Something your kids will love – and your friends and family will be amazed by.
